PEORIA, Ill. – The Davenport D2 hockey continued to roll on Saturday night as the Panthers completed the sweep of ACHA D3 foe Bradley. Zachary Bodziak led the way for Davenport with his first hat trick of the season. DU is now 8-0-0-0 on the season and will have next weekend off before they travel down to Louisville, Ky. for their last two games of their current four game road trip.
 
In the second game of the weekend series against Bradley, Davenport came out strong once again as Daniel Swink got the scoring started in the first period and Zachary Bodziak followed up with his first goal of the game to give Davenport an early 2-0 lead. Jake Otto picked up right where he left from the previous night as he scored his fifth goal of the weekend, but Bradley answer back to close out the scoring in the period to cut the Davenport lead to 3-1 heading into the first intermission.
 
The second period opened up offensively for Davenport as they scored nine goals in the period. The Panthers rattled off the first three goals in the period, before the Braves finally scored their second and final goal of the game. However, Davenport was able to rebound in a quick manner as they scored the final six goals of the period, coming from six different Panthers.  Bradley tightened up on defense in the third period allowing just one goal as Davenport came away with 13-2 win.
 
Tyler Kuehl made the start in net; making 23 saves and picking up his fourth win of the season. Davenport has out scored their opponents 48-9 in the last four games and has scored more than ten goals in each of those four games.
 
The Panthers will now be off next weekend before they travel down to Louisville, Ky. to face the University of Louisville in a two game set starting on Friday, November 7 at 8 p.m.
