GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport women's soccer team will close out their regular season schedule against WHAC Concordia on Friday in Ann Arbor. The Lady Panthers currently sit in fourth place in the WHAC as they conference tournament is just around the corner. DU is coming into the match after an upset victory over sixth ranked Northwestern Ohio. The kickoff between Davenport and Concordia is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich.

A Quick Look at Concordia – 9-5-3, 3-4-1 WHAC (10 Points) – Head Coach Steve Shelton
The Cardinals, at 9-5-3 overall and 3-4-1 in league play, are coming off a 1-0 overtime loss at Indiana Tech last weekend. The Concordia offense has relied heavily on Julia Palushaj to produce the goals as she leads the pack with 13 of the team's 29. Head coach Steve Shelton has gone with Jade Antolec with the goalkeeping duties. In 15 starts and 1,395 minutes of playing time, the sophomore has compiled a 0.90 GAA.
 
Panthers-Cardinals Series
Davenport has been well in control of the all-time series with Concordia, having won 10 of the 13 meetings. The two schools met twice last year. In fact, it was back-to-back with DU winning the regular-season finale and WHAC Tournament by a score of 5-0 in both matches on the Turf Field.
WHAC Tournament Scenario
With one match remaining in the women's soccer schedule, all but the No. 1 seed for the WHAC Tournament are being decided. Northwestern Ohio clinched the No. 1 seed awhile back. At 4-2-2 in league play, Davenport can finish as high as second with a win over Concordia but it will also need a loss from Siena Heights and either a tie or a loss from Aquinas. The Panthers can also finish as low as seventh in the WHAC standings.
