The Last Time vs. Madonna
In a battle between two teams contending for the WHAC championship at the time, then-ranked No. 4 Davenport was the victim of an upset after Madonna protected a penalty kick in the 25th minute for the only goal of the match nearly three weeks ago. Although the Panthers dominated the shooting department 18-5 overall, 7-3 on goal, the Crusaders (12-4-0, 7-2-0 WHAC) took advantage of a Panther mistake in the penalty box that awarded them the penalty kick. Davenport also had opportunities in corner kicks throughout the second half, taking all seven on the match.

Madonna Since the Last Meeting
Although the Crusaders escaped with a 1-0 win over another WHAC championship contender of Marygrove, they would also sneak past Concordia 3-2 in double overtime to advance to the semifinal of the league tournament. Danny Swanson scored the first two goals for Madonna but Amadou Cisse net the golden goal in the 104th minute to escape with the win.

Davenport-Madonna Series
Davenport is holding on to a slim (9-8) lead in the all-time series with Madonna. The Panthers were on a five-match win streak to take over the series before the Crusaders snapped it in the last meeting.

Davenport in the WHAC Tournament
The Panthers have a good record when playing in the WHAC Tournament, going 12-6. DU has also won the tournament twice (2010 and 2013).
