GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport D2 hockey team will be back on the road this weekend as they travel down to Kentucky for a two game series against the University of Louisville. The D2 hockey team will conclude their four game road stretch against the University of Louisville. The series starts on Friday at 8 p.m. and the series will closeout on Saturday afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. puck drop.

Scouting LouisvilleÂ
The Cardinals come into the weekend with a 7-5-1-0 record and are coming off of a loss against Miami (Ohio) last weekend. Leading the team in points is Derek Piekarczyk who has a total of 22 points compiling 13 goals and nine assists. Kyle Burdorf has played the majority of time in net compiling a 6-5-0 record in net and has a 2.95 goals against average and a .888 save percentage.

The Davenport offense has been on a roll as of late, scoring at least 11 goals in their last four games. This season Davenport has compiled an 8-0-0-0 record and has out scored their opponents 77-16 so far this season. Leading the way offensively for the Panthers is
Jake Otto leading the team with 15 goals, and
Donald Sund is leading the team in assists with 18 on the year.

Tyler Kuehl and
Andrew Habasevich has split time in net both recording 4-0-0 records and they have combined for a 2.00 goals against average and a save percentage of .927.
