GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 21 ranked men's tennis team will resume their spring schedule on Thursday when they head out to Holland to face Hope College. The Panthers moved up to No. 21 in the latest NAIA Top-25 polls as they were No. 24 in the previous two releases. Davenport is 8-4 while the Flying Dutchmen are 0-3.
Coming off a two and a half week break, the men's tennis team will look to get back on track when they resume their dual matches for 2013-14 when they take on Hope College on Thursday in Holland. The match will be the first for Davenport since they fell 4-3 to NCAA DI Mount Saint Mary's (Md.) back on February 28 in their final match in Florida for spring break.
The Dutchmen have played just three matches so far this season as well as the ITA's in the fall and a doubles tournament so far this spring. In their three losses to Aquinas, Luther College and Ohio Northern, the Dutchmen have recorded just four match wins while falling by a combined 23-4.
Davenport had a solid spring break trip that saw them go 3-2 with wins over #19 Northwood and #RV Webber International.
The next the Panthers will be in action is next Thursday (March 20) when they travel over to Calvin College.
