No. 19 Men’s Tennis Closes Regular Season with 8-1 Win at Spring Arbor

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Davenport closed out their regular season in style with an 8-1 win over Spring Arbor on the road. The No. 19 ranked Panthers will now have a week to prepare for the NAIA Unaffiliated Group Tournament next weekend in Grand Rapids. DU will be paired with the WHAC schools and other independents from Iowa. The Panthers will enter the tournament with an overall record of 18-6.
 
Davenport will enter the post-season on a 2-match winning streak after defeating the host Spring Arbor Cougars on Thursday evening. DU took all three doubles matches and then five of the six singles to post the 8-1 win.

6. Kevin Slagh (DUMT) def. Andrew Fitzpatrick (SPRINGA) 6-2, 6-3
 
Doubles competition

DU will travel have the weekend off before competing in the Unaffiliated Group Tournament in Grand Rapids, April 25-26. More details will follow on the website in the coming days.
