GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After the men and women's bowling teams conclude their 2013-14 season at the NAIA Invitational last month, the NAIA Coaches Association and the National College Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) announced their postseason awards. Davenport landed 14 members on both associations Academic All-American lists.
Andreya Teuber was named to the NAIA Coaches Associations Second Team All-American and
Andrew Anderson was named Rookie of the Year and was named to the All-America First Team. Anderson also won the NCBCA Rookie of the Year and was placed on their All-American Second Team.
In his first year of collegiate bowling, freshman
Andrew Anderson had an outstanding year as he won the WHAC Newcomer of the Year, Bowler of the Year, and made the First Team All-WHAC. Anderson also received national recognition winning the NAIA Coaches Association and NCBCA Rookie of the Year. The Holly, Mich. native was named to the NAIA Coaches Association All-American First Team and the NCBCA All-American Second Team. Anderson was also named to the both associations Academic All-American lists.
Senior,
Andreya Teuber, had a great year for the women's team as she won Bowler of the Year in the WHAC and was named to the First Team All-WHAC. On the national stage, Teuber was named Academic All-American by both the NAIA Coaches Association and the NCBCA. The senior was also named to the NAIA Coaches Association All-American Second Team and to the NAIA Invitational All-Tournament Team.
