INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Davenport bowling teams took part in one of the largest fields of the season at the Hoosier Classic. The men's side finished 27th out of 78 teams while the women's side finished 62nd of 66 teams in the competition.
The Panther men totaled 8,407 pins but was 593 pins from qualifying in the top eight to advance in the tournament bracket format.
Kyle Koprowitz had the highest finish for the men in 60th place with a total pinfall of 1,761. He averaged 195.6 in nine games for the Panthers and cracked 200 twice including a 280 in the fourth game.
Adam Batliner bowled eight games and totaled 1,548 pins for an average of 193.5.
Dionte Johnson rolled a 265 in the second game he bowled and cracked 200 twice more for a total of 1,498 in eight games.
The Panther women totaled 6,353 pins for the tournament.
Taylor Rickard had the highest average for the ladies with nine games at 170.7. She had a best of 199 in the eighth game.
Olivia Clark averaged 164.1 and bowled a 211 in her second game.
Mercedes Herrera bowled a 213 in her first game and totaled 1,403 pins.
