The men's bowling team had a very solid weekend at the AHIBC III and IV tournaments finishing fourth on Friday and seventh on Saturday out of 21 schools. The Panthers recorded a pinfall of 1,006 on Friday and 1,015 on Saturday. The women's team finished 18th with totals of 707 and 725 in the same events.
Dionte Johnson placed third in the AHIBC III event and averaged 228.4 for five games and rolled a program-high 290 this season in the fourth game.
Kyle Koprowitz placed 11th in the field with an average of 217 including a pair of 245 games along the way.
Sean Taylor placed 21st with an average of 212.8 and saved his best for game five with a 244.
Adam Batliner placed 47th with an average of 194.8 and had three games over 200.
Taylor Rickard had the best finish for the ladies in 45th place with an average of 174.6 and bowled a 218 in the first of five games.
Olivia Clark placed 76th in the field for the women with an average of 155.4 and rolled a 193 in game five.
Mercedes Herrera rolled to an 86th place finish with an average of 148.4.
In the AHIBC IV event on Saturday, Clark placed 16th for the ladies with an average of 208 in four games including a 267 in game one. Rickard averaged 179.75 and shot three straight 189 games. Herrera averaged 169.25 and rolled a 210 in the first game.Â
Batliner was the highest finisher for Davenport on Saturday in 41st with an average of 208.5 in four games. Koprowitz averaged 202.5 and was 53rd. Johnson fell back on Saturday and averaged 199 in four games. Taylor placed 105th and bowled three games on Saturday with a 237.67 average including a 275 game.
