A Quick Look at St. ThomasThe Bobcats, predicted to finish third in The Sun Conference by the league's coaches, open their season Saturday at Warner. The Bobcats went 17-2-1 a year ago, advancing to the final site of the NAIA National Championship before bowing out to eventual national champion Concordia (Ore.). 2013's TSC Coach of the Year Michelle Smith will have honorable mention All-Conference midfielder Zelda Jagryd back from a team that lost just one league game last season.
A Quick Look at NorthwoodThe Lady Seahawks are coming off one of their most successful seasons in program history, posting a 17-1-2 record, claiming their second straight regular season championship, attained their highest national ranking and made their deepest run in the NAIA National Tournament, advancing to the semifinals before falling to Westmont on penalty kicks, 7-6. Northwood is riding a 38-game unbeaten streak in conference play, and has claimed at least a share of the regular season title for eight consecutive seasons.
