D2 Hockey Continues Road Trip with a Pair of Games at Bowling Green

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After returning to action last weekend with a sweep of Northern Michigan, the Davenport D2 hockey team will continue their road swing with a weekend series at Bowling Green. The Panthers have played their last five games on the road and will have two more road games this weekend against Bowling Green to wrap up their seven game road swing. The weekend series between Davenport and Bowling Green will start on Friday at 11 p.m. in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Scouting Bowling Green
 
The Falcons come into the weekend with a 10-6-1 record on the year, and opened their 2015 schedule with a loss at Ohio last weekend. The leading scorer for Bowling Green is Matt White with 29 points and 16 goals on the season, while Nolan Culver leads the team with 14 assists on the season. In goal, Ryan Evans have played the majority of time in net to put together a 3.97 goals against average and a .875 save percentage for the Falcons.
 
The Panthers
 
After a weekend sweep of Northern Michigan, the Panthers have two players with over 50 points on the season as Jake Otto leads the way with 52 point, and a Donald Sund has 51 points on the season. Branden Burton is knocking on the door of the 50 point threshold with 49 points, and Burton lead the team with 32 assist on the season. Head coach Chris Green has a total of six players with at least 30 points on the year as his team has outscored their opponents 147-40 on the year. In goal, Tyler Kuehl and Andrew Habasevich has each started eight games on the year to combine for a goals against average of 2.49 and a .915 save percentage.
 
The weekend series between Davenport and Bowling Green will start on Friday night at 11 p.m., before both teams wrap up the weekend series on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. in Bowling Green, Ohio.
