Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – After beating Bowling Green on Friday night, the D2 hockey team looked to complete the weekend sweep of the Falcons on Saturday night.
Zachary Bodziak and
Branden Burton had two goals for the Panthers in the 4-3 win to complete the sweep. Davenport will now return home for the first time in seven games as they have a home-and-home series with Michigan State on Friday and Saturday.

After a scoreless first period, the Panthers found their groove in the second period as Bodziak got the scoring started in the game.
Branden Burton then followed it up with a goal, and Bodziak scored his second goal of the game to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead. All three Panther goals came within a span of 1:49. Bowling Green was able to stop the Panther run as they scored to cut the Davenport lead to 3-1 heading into the third period.

The Falcons continued their run that started in the second period as they scored two more goals to start the third period and tie the game 3-3. After losing a three goal lead, Davenport was able to find the game winning goal off the stick of Burton off a feed from
Donald Sund to win the game 4-3, while
Tyler Kuehl grabbed the win in goal. Davenport completed the weekend sweep and has now won their last seven games.

Davenport will be back in action with a home-and-home series with Michigan State. The series will start on Friday at Patterson Ice Center at 3:20 p.m., which will be the Panthers first home game in seven games.
