Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Davenport men's soccer team trailed in the second half for the first time in a while, but like most championship teams do, they stormed back for a road win. The Panthers defeated Indiana Tech 3-2 on Saturday night and got a challenge from the Warriors who fell to 3-7-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the WHAC. Davenport held on for their 10th win in a row and stand at 10-1-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Mitch Smith got the Warriors in the scoring column first in the 30th minute. Scoring machine T.J. Ifaturoti found the back of the net in the 44th minute unassisted just before the break. He gave his team the lead with his 12th marker of the season in the 55th minute from
Omar Mansah. ITU got loose on a breakaway and Zachary St. Aubin converted in the 69th minute with an assist from Matt Robinson for a tie score at 2-2.
Cam Cavanagh finished his third goal of the year in the 73rd minute from
Adam Farrell for the winner. The contest saw the Warriors outshoot the Panthers, 19-14, including 13-9 in shots on goal.
Kyler Jacobs made a season-high 10 saves and improved to 5-0 in net.
