Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. - The Davenport men's soccer team took care of business on Friday night with a 5-1 win at Siena Heights. The Panthers scored three times in the first half including two goals by T.J. Ifaturoti and another by
Joan Nievas. Ifaturoti scored the first goal at the 15-minute mark with an assist from
Chad Gordon. Gordon played a long pass forward and Ifaturoti finished from roughly 12 yards.
Ifaturoti's second goal in the 22nd minute was assisted by
Adam Farrell. The shot was taken from around 20 yards on a touch pass. Nievas made it 3-0 in the 25th minute on a pass from
Alex Mendez. The pass to the wing was a partial break-in with a chip over the goalkeeper.
Elmedin Celovic scored at the 63-minute mark for the Saints from Collin McLaughlin to make it 3-1. Nievas' second goal of the match in the 66th minute was his fourth of the season and was assisted by Farrell. Nievas got a cross in front and turned to shoot from close range. Ifaturoti netted the hat trick in the 74th minute and now has 15 goals this season. He currently ranks fourth all-time in a season at Davenport and needs two more goals to tie for third.
Davenport improved to 11-2-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
Aaron Orban (7-1-2) made three saves for the Panthers who finished with 14 shots on goal compared to four for the Saints.
