FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Davenport University men's golf team saw their WHAC cumulative stroke lead trimmed down to three strokes on Wednesday after shooting a 303 and tying for sixth at the third WHAC Jamboree hosted at Coyote Creek Golf Course. The Panthers were coming off a convincing performance one day earlier when they distanced themselves by nine strokes in the second WHAC Jamboree. Through three rounds, Davenport (870) has a three-stroke advantage over Siena Heights and a 12-stroke cushion over third place Northwestern Ohio.
Mitchell Wandell led the charge again for the Panthers and carded a two-over par 74 while tying for 13th.
Mitchell Garrison had his best showing thus far in the fall with a 75 and tied for 16th.
Jorge Benitez and
Josh Switzer both shot 77 and tied for 28th.
Jamie Cattran followed with a 79 and
Kurt Sprague turned in an 83 to round out the scoring for Davenport.
