GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport men's tennis team played Sunday's match indoors at the Riverview Athletic Club due to the rain soaked out door DU tennis courts. The change in scenery wouldn't affect the Panthers as they beat the Lakers 6-3. DU would sweep the doubles competition 3-0, and split the singles competition 3-3.
Matthew McClurg and
Sam Rogerson would solidify the first doubles win as they defeated their opponents 8-4. Juan-Philip van Antwerpen and
Michael Digby notched the biggest margin of victory for DU as they defeated their opponents 8-3. DU would finish the last doubles match with a 8-5 victory thanks to
Haja Denise and
Max Hartman.

Three singles players would come out victorious in Sunday's match, McClurg, Digby, and Denise. McClurg would defeat Jake Prime of the Lakers by a score of 6-4 and 6-1. Denise would make quick work of the Lakers Miles Munro as he won 7-5 and 6-0. Lastly, Digby defeated his opponent 6-2 and 6-4.

Davenport improves to 2-0 on the year in team play and will prepare for the ITA Oracle Cup Nationals on October 13
th-16
th.
