GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Eagles of Liberty University proved to be the better team tonight after an 8-1 win against Davenport. Liberty recorded 74 shots on goal while Davenport only had 13. As of November 13 Liberty is ranked fifth in the country and now boasts a record of 7-3-1. Davenport held their own through 20 minutes of play. However, the last 40 minutes belonged to Liberty.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The first period was an even contest between both teams. Liberty struck first with a goal in the second minute of play, while Davenport struck last with a goal in the 20
th minute of play. The goal was scored by
Emily Ellis, her third of the season, and assisted by
Patsy Howe, her fifth of the season. The score was tied 1-1 heading into the second period.
-Liberty took over in the second period, scoring three un-answered goals and after 40 minutes of play led 4-1.
Lexie Boydston spent four minutes in the penalty box during the period.
-The Eagles poured it on during the third period, scoring another four goals while shutting out the Panthers. The game ended with a score of 8-1 in the Eagles favor.
