EAST LANSING, Mich. – Davenport got a big time win on the road against Michigan State University last night.
Donald Sund netted the game winning goal in the overtime period with only 3.4 seconds remaining. The Panthers bounced back from a tough weekend stretch against Florida Gulf Coast and have a chance to finish the regular season on a four game win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED-Michigan State found themselves on the board first with a goal in the third minute of play. Davenport responded with a pair of goals over the next couple minutes to take the lead 2-1.
Marc Rotondo and
Kyle Downey scored the goals for DU. Defense tightened up for both teams the remainder of the period has neither team was able to score again.
-The teams went goal for goal in the second period. The Panthers scored first and the Spartans responded both times. Davenport upheld their lead 4-3 at the end of 40 minutes.
-The Spartans came back in the last period. Davenport held a two goal lead with 17 minutes remaining in the game, Michigan State scored two goals with under 10 to go to tie the game.
-The game was sent into overtime and it looked like a winner wouldn't be decided as neither team was scoring. With the last couple seconds trickling down Sund came to the rescue and score an un-assisted goal with 3.4 seconds remaining to help DU claim victory.
-Sund scored two goals to lead DU.

Brad Lawson assisted on two goals.

Tyler Buchanan played the whole game in net and gets the W for Davenport.
