GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers played the Spartans to an even game after two periods, the Spartans pulled away in the final period. Both teams scored two goals each during the second period.

HOW IT HAPPENED-Both teams defense came out ready to play in the first period as neither team would score. Each team had a power play opportunity towards the end of the period, but the defense's prevailed.
-The second period brought some exciting action as the teams traded goals. The Panthers struck first with a goal by
Marc Rotondo. After a response by the Spartans
Zachary Bodziak netted a goal in the eighth minute to give DU a 2-1 lead. Michigan Sate got a goal late in the period to tie the game 2-2 heading into the third period.
-The Spartans took over in the third period as they scored three un-answered goals.
-Bodziak and Rotondo each scored a goal.

Branden Burton both tallied an assists.

Devin Rosema played the whole game in net and recorded 37 saves.
