GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport men's tennis team got back into action after a brief fall schedule on Friday night inside MVP Athletic Club against NCAA DII Tiffin. The Dragons took all three doubles points en route to the 6-3 win over the Panthers. Both teams are now 2-1 this season.
All three doubles matches were very competitive as the Panthers battled but could not gain a point.
Matthew McClurg and
Sam Rogerson fell 8-6 in one doubles and likewise did JP van Antwerpen and
Michael Digby at two doubles.
Max Hartman and
Haja Denise dropped a 8-5 score at three doubles.
The points at singles came from McClurg in three sets at one singles (1-6, 6-1, 7-5), Rogerson at two singles (6-3, 2-6, 7-6) and van Antwerpen (7-6, 7-5).
