GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers took on cross town rival Cornerstone University and upset the Golden Eagles 5-3. Cornerstone is currently ranked number 19 in the nation and is currently on a three game losing streak. Davenport came through in the clutch during their last regular season conference match of 2017.
Match 1 (Wednesday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m.)

Doubles Competition
The duo of
Max Hartman and
Kevin Slagh tallied the only win during the doubles competition. They took an 8-5 victory in the third doubles slot. The Other two matches were extremely close.
Michael Digby and
Haja Denise lost 9-7, while
Sam Rogerson and
Juan-Philip van Antwerpen fell 9-8 (7-5).
Singles Competition
Davenport took four of the singles matches. Antwerpen snagged a win in the two singles slot, defeating his opponent 6-4 and 6-2. Digby took care of his opponent with east in two sets (6-3 and 6-1). Denise handled his competition in the four singles slot with set scores of 6-4 and 6-2. Finally, Slagh won by default in the last singles spot.
Up Next
Davenport will compete against Marian on the road this Saturday for their last regular season Match. The match will be played in Indianapolis, Ind.
