HOW IT HAPPENED
-Nine minutes into the first period and we have our first score of the game. MSU sneaks one by DU to take a 1-0 lead.
-Just minutes later, DU's Evan Carroll ties it up with a nice pass by Trevor Murray. The Panthers weren't done there. A minute later, Tyler Jaenicke gives DU their first lead of the game with a nice snap by MSU's goaltender. Spencer Anderson was credited with the assist on Jaenicke's goal.
-After one period of play, DU leads MSU 2-1.
-MSU came out hot in the second recording two unanswered goals just a minute apart from each other to take a 3-2 lead.
-With the clock winding down in the second, Jessee Game gave the puck to Murray and he delivered a big goal to tie the game at 3.
-Both teams battled it out in the third, but neither of them were able to squeak one by either netminder.
-Not much overtime was needed as just two minutes into the frame, Tyler Blackburn won it for Davenport with a beautiful unassisted goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-If you like a lot of goals and shots on goal this was the game for you. Both teams goalies got their work in for the week after this game.
-12:46 into the first MSU nets the first of the game and the only goal in the period.
-The second period was all Davenport. 7:13 into the frame, Adam Hulsey and Jacob Demeter set up Marc Rotondo to tie the game at 1. With six minutes left in the period, Justin Vantine gave the Panthers their first lead of the game.
-The second period ended with the Panthers up 2-1.
-Davenport kept their momentum going to start the third as Jaenicke sets up Rotondo for his second goal of the night.
-After that last goal, MSU had enough and went on a four-goal scoring streak to break the game open. Jack Tobiczyk recorded four points in this game and helped MSU defeat the Panthers 5-3.
