HOW IT HAPPENED
-It was a high-scoring affair at Arrington Ice Arena on Thursday. The scoring started seven minutes into the first period. Adam Hulsey fed Kyle Mazur the puck and he put it home to give DU the early 1-0 lead. Seven minutes later, Adrian answered with a goal of their own to tie things up at 1. Just 40 seconds later, Adrian adds another one to give them the lead 2-1.
-Jump into the second and it didn't take long for the Bulldogs to add another. Their third goal of the game came just 25 seconds into the second period.
-Minutes later, Jessee Game gave the puck to Hulsey and he capitalized on the opportunity and cut the deficit to one goal. Adrian responded as they added another one to put their lead back up to two goals.
-Davenport kept fighting back, as they added another goal just 50 seconds later. That goal was awarded to Tyler Majewski and assisted by Trevor Murray and Hulsey.
-Once again the Bulldogs answered right back, but this time they added three more goals instead of one.
-DU was able to get one more goal, but it did not matter as Adrian pulled away with four goals in the final period for the eight-goal margin.
