WINTER PARK, Fla. – Davenport is down in Florida for their annual spring break trip and opened with a match at Rollins College. The Tars are currently ranked 16
th in the nation, but held only a 1-4 record coming into the match. The Panthers were outplayed on the day, scoring only one point in both singles and doubles.
In singles
Jonathan Bulmer was the sole Panther to win. Bulmer competed in fifth singles and won 6-2 and 7-5.
Matthew McClurg and
Remy Johansen won in second doubles. The two earned the Panthers one point with their 9-8 victory.
Davenport will be in action again tomorrow, this time in Orlando, Fla. at the USTA National Campus. The Panthers take on Rose-Hulman at 11:00 a.m.
