GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers earned their first victory of the 2019 season and did so in impressive fashion. Davenport swept the Saints 9-0 in the match, going a perfect 6-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles play.
 
Doubles Competition

• In first doubles, Matthew McClurg and Jonathan Bulmer won 8-5.
• Remy Johansen and Juan-Louis van Antwerpen posted an 8-3 win in two doubles.
• In third doubles, Michael Digby and Matt Leatherman earned an 8-2 victory. 

Singles Competition

• Johansen picked up a two-set win in first singles. He won 6-2 and 6-1.
• McClurg won his second singles match in three sets, winning 6-3, 3-6, and 10-3.
• In third singles, van Antwerpen won 6-1 and 6-4.
• Bulmer won 6-1 and 6-1 in fourth singles.
• In fifth singles, Digby posted the largest margin of victory. Digby won 6-0 and 6-1.
• Leatherman picked up a two-set win as well. He won 6-2 and 7-5.

 
Davenport will be in action again on Saturday, February 16 when they host Indiana Wesleyan at the Grand Rapids Racquet Club.
