LIMA, Ohio – The Panthers traveled to Ohio over the weekend, taking on Walsh University and the University of Northwestern Ohio. Davenport earned a 4-1 victory over Walsh on Friday and then lost a narrow match 5-4 against the host UNOH on Saturday.

Doubles Competition
Singles Competition
- Vargas lost in one singles in three sets, falling 6-4, 2-6, and 6-2.
- Johansen, McClurg, and van Antwerpen all won their singles matches.
- Johansen won 7-5 and 6-4 in second singles.
- McClurg won 6-0 and 6-3 in three singles.
- In four singles, van Antwerpen earned a two-set victory, 6-2 in both sets.
- Bulmer and Leatherman didn't finish their singles matches.

Doubles Competition
- The scoring system shifted a bit for the match against UNOH, as each match in doubles was worth one point each.
- McClurg and Bulmer went perfect in one doubles over the weekend, winning 8-3 against UNOH.
- In two doubles, Vargas and van Antwerpen earned an 8-3 win.
- Johansen and Leatherman fell 8-4 in three doubles.
Singles Competition
- Singles went the Racers way, as they won four of the six matches.
- Vargas and McClurg were the two Panthers to win their singles matches.
- Vargas won 6-7 (6-8), 6-0, and 6-2 in one singles.
- McClurg inches closer and closer to reaching the 100 career win milestone. He won 3-6, 6-0, and 6-3 in three singles. McClurg currently sits at 96 combined wins in singles and doubles.
- Johansen, van Antwerpen, Bulmer, and Digby all fell in their singles matches.
- Johansen and van Antwerpen each took their opponent to three sets before falling.
Up Next
The Panthers are currently 8-5 and will enter conference play next week. Davenport opens at Wayne State and Ashland on Saturday/Sunday.
