The team opened the trip by taking on Colorado at Colorado Springs, who they defeated 16-8. A big second half pushed the Panthers past the Mountain Lions and freshman goalkeeper

How It Happened
Junior attacker
Aaliyah Miller had a quality offensive performance, scoring the opening two goals of the game and having eight total points. The Mountain Lions and Panthers traded a couple goals after the two quick ones by Miller, then
Ryann Deuel and Miler scored back to back, giving Davenport a 6-3 advantage. Colorado Springs scored the final goal of the period and DU held a 6-4 lead at the break.
Davenport pulled away from the Mountain Lions in the second half. Deuel scored to open the half and then
Anna Glynn scored her fourth of the season to give Davenport an 8-4 lead. Two straight goals by UCCS brought the Panthers lead down to two, but eight unanswered goals by Davenport put this game out of reach. Miller started the run, then Glynn got in on the action, followed by
Taylor Ries and
Christine Steffes. In the blink of an eye, the Panthers were leading 16-6 with 5:29 remaining in the game. The Mountain Lions scored a couple meaningless goals late and the final buzzer sounded. Davenport earned their second win of the season, defeating the Mountain Lions 16-8 on their home field.
