DETROIT - Competing in a tri-meet at Wayne State, the Davenport men and women both defeated Ashland thanks to scores of 150-79 and 182-59, respectively. As for the Warriors, their 16th-ranked men beat the Panthers, 127-104, while the women bested DU, 136-106.
"It was our best meet so far this season," said head coach,
Justin Vasquez. "We came out with great energy and performed well in all areas tonight."
Davenport recorded four new school records, all on the men's side of things, including the 400 medley relay, 100 backstroke (leading off the relay), 100 freestyle (46.42), and 200 freestyle. That relay quartet was made up of
Liam Weber,
Richard Polasek,
Eric Perczak, and
Alvaro Ruiz while Ruiz was responsible for both of the freestyle records.

Next up on the schedule, Davenport will compete in the Kalamazoo Invitational on Nov. 5-6 against the Hornets, DePauw and Hope. The action in Kalamazoo Natatorium will begin at 5 p.m. that Friday and 10 a.m. the following Saturday.
