DU Travels North to Face Northern Michigan and St. Cloud State

Results: Friday | Saturday

MARQUETTE, Mich. -
The Davenport University swimming and diving teams traveled to the U.P. on Friday and Saturday to face off against both Northern Michigan and St. Cloud State. Friday's Wildcat Relay Meet consisted of just relays and diving as each relay quartet was made up of two men and two women. Saturday's action was for a normal dual meet with the teams going head to head for both the men and women.

Looking at the team scores and starting with Friday, Davenport lost to the host, Northern Michigan, 168-124, and St. Cloud State by a hair, 150-149. Saturday, the men fell to the Wildcats, 181-98, and the Huskies, 177-116. The women came up short to Northern Michigan, 168-124, and St. Cloud State, 150-149.

"We did well this weekend," said head coach, Justin Vasquez. "We were competing against two really good swimming and diving teams in Northern and St. Cloud and we competed well. I am happy with our continued progress as a team."
