LEXINGTON, Ky. - Move over Hannah Stone (honored in '13 and '14), Amber Getty ('14) and Marcey DeHaan ('14), and make room for one more. Tuesday afternoon,
Hayley Kreiger became the fourth All-American in the history of Davenport University women's volleyball as she received American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American honors.
Stone earned an honorable mention nod in 2013 before garnering second-team honors in 2014 while Getty (third team) and DeHaan (honorable mention) both joined Stone as honorees in 2014. With this announcement, Kreiger becomes the program's first Division II All-American, an era that began prior to the 2017 season.

Among the best players in the NCAA's Midwest Region, Kreiger ranked third in total kills (471), third in attacks per set (11.8), fourth in kills per set (4.4), fourth in points per set (4.97), and fifth in total attacks (1,259). Nationwide, the attacker finished fifth in total kills, seventh in points per set, eighth in kills per set, 14th in attacks per set, and 15th in total attacks.
The South Haven native's historical season doesn't end there, though, as she continues to put her stamp all over the program's record book. Her 471 kills this fall are good for second, just 22 behind Stone's mark of 493 in 2014, and give her 1,361 for her career, which ranks fourth, only 28 shy of DeHaan in second place. When it comes to kills per set, her mark of 4.4 this season is good for second and her career clip of 3.5 ranks second as well.
Kreiger plans on returning for a fifth season in 2022 and making even more history as a Panther.
