The Davenport University women's volleyball team is currently riding a four-match winning streak, which ties the longest mark under head coach,
Brian Netzler. This week, with a record of 4-2, the Panthers will face crosstown rival and travel partner, Grand Valley State. DU will be in Allendale on Friday (7 p.m.) before hosting the Lakers on Saturday (1 p.m.) inside the Student Center.
Statistically on the offensive end, Davenport has been led by
Hayley Kreiger (team-high 64 kills),
Megan Herr (63 kills and team-high 9 aces),
Emmy Webb (team-high .361 hitting percentage), and
Nicole Odeen (123 assists). Switching over to defense, the Panthers are paced by
Kendra DeJonge (71 digs) while Herr and Webb are tied for the team lead in blocks with 16 each.
Davenport leads the all-time series with Grand Valley State, 4-3, including 4-2 since joining the GLIAC prior to the 2017 season, but the Lakers have won the teams' last two head-to-head meetings.
