GLIAC Release
GLIAC -- For the first time in her career, junior attacker
Aaliyah Miller has been named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week. The honor comes after Miller's big day in Davenport's 17-11 win at Findlay on Friday. The Kalamazoo native racked up nine points thanks to six goals and three assists to go with three ground balls while all six of her shot attempts were on target. Miller's performance was clutch as well as she scored or assisted on seven of the Panthers' final 11 goals. This marks the sixth time the league has presented Davenport with a weekly honor including the third such occasion for an offensive performance.
"Aaliyah comes into every practice and game willing to do whatever it takes for her team to be successful," said head coach,
Rob Harris. "Whether it's on the ride, passing to an open teammate, or scoring goals, Aaliyah loves this game, but more importantly, she loves her team."
Miller and her teammates will make their 2021 home debut on Wednesday night against Lawrence Tech with the opening draw set for 6 p.m. at the DU Turf Field.
