HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Davenport University men's and women's swimming & diving teams were in action for the second time this season on Saturday. The men defeated Indiana Wesleyan, 160-18, while the women took care of business against the Wildcats, 153-87, but fell to the host Chargers, 125-111.
"As a whole we looked a little tired today," said head coach,
Justin Vasquez. "We are training at a different level this year so it makes sense for us to look a little more tired right now. The women battled with two tough teams and the men raced against each other for the most part. We had our freshmen and sophomores go against our juniors and seniors at the meet and the freshmen and sophomores ended up winning the intrasquad bragging rights."
Next up on the schedule for Davenport is a trip to Wayne State on Friday, Oct. 21 with the action set to begin at 5 p.m. inside Matthaei Natatorium.
