GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its second weekly baseball awards of the 2022 baseball season. Davenport senior Derrick Edington received pitcher of the week recognition for the first time in his career. Edington (Pickford, Mich.) fanned a career-high 11 Gannon batters in a no-decision on Sunday in Auburndale, Fla. He scattered two hits over six innings in the no-decision outing as the Panthers won 5-4 in 11 innings. Edington has posted 20 strikeouts (leads the team) in 12.2 innings this season and has a 3.55 ERA.
