GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Five Davenport University baseball standouts have been selected for 2026 Academic All-District
® honors by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday. The 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by the CSC membership, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Headlining Davenport's quintet are all first-year award winners in this category. Senior catcher
Dylan Pawenski, senior third baseman
Travis Liford, junior designated hitter/first baseman
Aiden Warn, redshirt sophomore second baseman
Sam Clay, and sophomore outfielder
Wyatt Epple shined throughout the 2026 campaign as the Panthers reached the NCAA Midwest Regional for the second year in a row.
Nominees for CSC Academic All-District honors must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or
must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or
pitched 35 innings. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
