On Saturday the Rainbow Six team faced off against Rated R in a CR6 Summer Stage 1 Quarter Final Matchup. Rated R, made up of players from different universities, came out hot, taking down DU on map 1 (Oregon) 3-7. Afterwards DU came roaring back and rattled off two map wins on Kafe and Border, winning 7-4 and 7-5 respectively and securing their spot in the upcoming semifinals against the University of Georgia.
While all players did a phenomenal job, the clear MVP of this week was Alex "Spandy" LaPratt, leading the team in both kills (33) and assists (9). Team captain Nick "Nazaru" Cihlar took home the honor of least deaths in the match with 20 while the next closest to him was Austin "ChickenParm" Bell with 22.
The match against University of Georgia is slated for Wednesday 7/6 at 8:30pm.
