SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The defending GLIAC Champion Davenport University men's golf program opened its 2022-23 season at Bethel College's Battle at Blackthorn on Friday and Saturday. As a team, the Panthers finished in a tie for third with a 27-over 603 (301-302) while Brandon Bodis paced them in a tie for third with a one-over 145 (73-72).

Close behind Bodis and also among the top 10 for Davenport was Noah Bridgeman in a tie for seventh with a five-over 149 (76-73). The league's reigning Individual Champion, Bradley Mogire, was next up for the Panthers in a tie for 21st with a nine-over 153 (74-79).

After that for DU were a pair of newcomers including Foster Faber in a tie for 32nd with a 12-over 156 (78-78) and Zach Hay in 54th with a 22-over 166 (85-81).

Next up on the schedule for Davenport is Tiffin's Kyle Ryman Memorial Invitational on Oct. 3-4 at Mohawk Golf Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
