GLIAC Release
GLIAC - Graduate outside hitter,
Hayley Kreiger, was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, the third weekly honor given to her by the league in her career. The recognition comes after Kreiger racked up 72 kills and 6.0 per set while leading Davenport to a perfect 3-0 week.
The South Haven native helped DU extend its winning streak to four and push the team's league record to 5-2, the best seven-match conference start in program history. Kreiger also led the Panthers to their first-ever win over Ferris State on Friday and broke her own school record for kills in a three-set match with 21 on Saturday against Lake Superior State.
Kreiger and the Panthers (12-4, 5-2 GLIAC) will play their next two matches on the road starting with Wayne State on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Detroit. Davenport took the first meeting between the two teams in straight sets on Sept. 17 in Grand Rapids.
