SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Davenport men's wrestling team made the trip to Drury on Wednesday evening for a GLVC dual and had their best showing in a dual this season. The team lost 30-20 but did score their most points in a dual meet this season. The beginning of the matchup was very promising.
Manuel Leija continued his fine season at 133 pounds with an 8-3 decision over Brandon Borlinghaus. The Panthers increased their lead due to a forfeit by Drury at 141 pounds and then
Lucas Nagle got a win at 149 pounds with a tech fall 17-0 over Paul Pollard.
Drury needed to pull out the final five matches in order to get the victory.
Jahleel Rollins had a tight match at 165 pounds with a 6-3 lost against Colby Allen. Drury also won two of the last three matches by fall.
