HOLLAND, Mich. - The Davenport swimming and diving teams competed in the GLIAC Championships over the past four days at the Holland Aquatic Center. After the dust settled, the women's team would finish fourth with 403 points and the men's team would finish sixth with 361 points. The Panthers did have one individual champion as Richard Polasek won the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 1:57.84. Polasek in total hit the NCAA "B" cut in four different events with the other three events being the 100 yard breaststroke, 200 yard IM, and 200 yard freestyle. He finished eighth in the 200 yard IM (1:52.10), ninth in the 200 yard free (1:39.51), and second in the 100 yard breaststroke (54.06).

In total, there were 11 individual team records broken on the men's side and six individual team records on the women's side. In addition, three relay records were broken including three on both sides.
