Game 1 vs. #14 Indianapolis

How it Happened:
Holding a 3-0 lead after the second inning, the Greyhounds (10-2, 0-0 GLVC) were able to break the game open. The Panthers registered their second out of the inning with trailing 6-0, but they couldn't get the Greyhounds offense off the field as they scored six more runs, totaling nine in the inning.

Brooke Bernt broke the cold streak for Davenport, registering the team's first hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. Kaycee Loehr singled through the left side moments later to bring Bernt home and end the scoring drought for DU.

Emma Miller (1-1) pitched just over two innings for the Panthers, registering two strikeouts during that span. Elise Magnus pitched the back-half of the game, striking out three batters while only allowing two hits and one run.

After holding Northwood scoreless for the second consecutive inning, Monica Meger started the top of the sixth inning with a single for DU. Sydney Muntean scored the final run for the Panthers on an error from the Timberwolves defense as she was pinch-running for Meger.
