TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The track and field teams are gaining momentum as they had yet another successful meet at Indiana State over the last two days. The emergence of
Noah Evers has been a sight to behold. The continues to make a name for himself as he won the shot put with a throw of 61' 3". His mark is currently fourth in Division II. In addition, he excelled at the discus in sixth place while improving his national mark to eighth in Division II.
In other events,
Ella Baryo broke the school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:01.06 and placed third. She also hit the NCAA provisional mark and is currently 19th in Divsion II.
Julia Tuuri broke the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 25.21.
Erin Dorn won the 800 meters in a time of 2:12.90 and just missed the NCAA provisional time.
Sidney Heugel placed third in the pole vault with a height of 12' 3.5".
Lisa Wangler was able to finish ninth in the hammer throw with a distance of 160' 6".
The men's 4x100 meter relay placed sixth with a time of 41.16 consisting of
Shawn Sims, Marshall Brooks,
Brendan LaLonde, and
Noah Dooley.
Bryce Albrecht placed eighth in the high jump at 6' 4.75".
Nick Ruvalcaba was also eighth in the pole vault at 15' 1.5".Â
