Panthers Complete Ferris State Bulldog Invite to Begin Fall Season

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University men's golf team opened its 2023-24 fall season at the Ferris State Bulldog Invite, competing at the event on Monday (Sept. 18) and Tuesday (Sept. 19). The Panthers placed tied for seventh (898) and 13th (921) out of 16 teams as they sent two teams to the event.

Individually, Noah Bridgeman was the top performer for DU, shooting six over par and finishing tied for seventh overall in the invite. The senior's best round came on the final day, as he shot one over par (72) in the final round, registering two birdies through the final 18 holes.

Aiden Deng finished just outside the top-10, tying for 12th while having the best round of any Panther at the invite, shooting three under par (68) in the third round. During the final 18 holes, the sophomore registered an impressive five birdies.

Freshman Cayden Kwan garnered a top-20 finish in his first competition with Davenport, placing tied for 14th. The Markham, Ontario native shot nine over par with a 222 final score and a low round of 72.

Other top performers for the Panthers included Brandon Bodis (t-41), who finished with a total score of 227 and a low round of 74. Foster Faber (t-45) shot 15 over par with a total score of 228, while Zach Hay (t-48) had a low round of 72, shooting 230 through three rounds.

Looking ahead, DU will continue fall play at the University of Indianapolis Invite on Sunday (Sept. 24) until Tuesday (Sept. 26) at the Broadmoor Country Club.
