GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport University men's Division III ice hockey competed against Western Michigan University between Sept. 27-28, dropping the first game 12-2 at home and 13-0 on the road.

Cameron Griep and
Chris Stamos shared the goaltending duties, Griep seeing the most action with 42 saves on 52 shots faced and Stamos making four saves in the effort.
The next day, the Panthers traveled to Kalamazoo, MI, to close the regular-season series. Western Michigan maintained its momentum from the previous night, shutting out DU with a double-digit score total. Stamos received his first start at goalie for the Panthers, playing all 60 minutes while making 55 saves on 68 shot attempts by the Broncos.
The Davenport D3 Hockey Showcase is up next for the Panthers as they face a trio of teams between Oct. 4-6 at Patterson Ice Center.
