Pair of Panthers Place Inside Top 10 at DU Panther Invitational

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Davenport University men's golf team concluded fall action this past weekend (Oct. 12-13) as they hosted the DU Panther Invitational at the Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, Mich. The Panthers had two golfers finished inside the top 10 individually, while the team finished fourth overall with a two-round score of 585, shooting nine over par.

Aiden Deng secured the second top-five finish of his career, shooting 143 (-1) through two rounds of play. The junior tallied six birdies and an eagle through 36 holes and had a low round of 69, which came on the first day. Deng was in third place at the end of day one but finished fifth overall by the end of the event.

Finishing eighth overall was Foster Faber, marking his second top-10 finish of the season. The junior had an impressive round two performance, shooting a 69 (-3) with six birdies. Overall, Faber had a two-round score of 145 (+1).

Placing 19th was Chen-Shiuan Wu, who tallied a two-round score of 148 (+4). The freshman had a low round of 70 on the first day and secured four birdies and an eagle on the weekend.

Rounding things out for the Panthers were Pedro Russi and Zach Hay. Russi ended the weekend 24th overall, shooting 151 (+7), while Hay finished 39th overall with a score of 156 (+12).
