Panthers Place Seventh at Flyer Invite

LEMONT, Ill. - The Davenport University men's golf team concluded its time at the Flyer Invite on Tuesday (Oct. 8) afternoon, placing seventh of 17 teams with a two-round score of 622.

Leading the way for the Panthers were Chen-Shiuan Wu and Foster Faber, tying for 19th overall, shooting 10 over par (154). Wu registered five birdies through two days and a low round of 75, while Faber notched four birdies and a low round of 74 on the first day.

Aiden Deng and Zach Hay tied for 36th overall with a two-round score of 158 (+114). On day two, Deng finished with a low round of 77 and had three birdies through 18 holes. For Hay, he tallied four birdies through two days and had a low round of 78 which came in the second round.

Pedro Russi shot a 162 (+18) for the Panthers, placing him 58th overall in the event. The freshman recorded six birdies in 36 holes of action.

The Panthers will conclude fall play at the DU Panther Invitational this weekend (Oct. 12-13) in Battle Creek, Mich. at the Bedford Valley Golf Course.
