DU can't find the magic in 7-0 loss to Findlay

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Findlay men's tennis team blanked Davenport 7-0 on Monday at the USTA National Campus. The Panthers are now 8-6 overall and 1-5 against NCAA Division II opponents this season. Findlay improved to 2-6 overall and did not drop a set in the process.

The doubles portion shaked out to favor of the Oilers at two and three flights. The second flight was very close going into a tiebreaker. Carlos Henriquez and Simone Pacciolla pushed Andrew Codita and Clement Andrieu to the limit before falling 8-6 in the tiebreaker. Luigi Bove and Ethan Shoesmith at the three spot won 6-4 against Jose Brenes and Marius Pion. The one doubles went unfinished as DU trailed 6-5.

Stolin proved to be overmatched for one of the few times in his career falling 6-1, 6-2 against Arthur Bord at one singles. Subash Paramasivam battled in the first set at two singles against Bove falling 7-5 and then Bove took over 6-2 in the second set. DU did not manage to win more than three games in each set for the last four singles matchups.

The team will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 8:30 AM against NCAA Division I opponent St. Bonaventure.
