Deng Secures Top-10 Finish at Bulldog Fall Classic

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University men's golf team continued fall action to begin the week, competing at the Bulldog Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 16-17) at the Katke Golf Club. As a team, the Panthers placed sixth overall, shooting 889 (+37) through three rounds of action.

Leading the way for the Panthers was Aiden Deng, finishing with a three-round score of 217 (+4), placing seventh overall at the event, marking the second top-ten finish of his career. The junior had a low round of 69, which came on the first day.

Placing 31st overall for DU was Gunnar Schuster, tallying a score of 224 (+11) through three rounds. The sophomore posted a low round of 71 in the second round.

Hudson Turcotte ended with the third-best score for DU, shooting 226 (+13), ranking 33rd overall in the tournament. His best round came in the third, shooting a 73 (+2) to conclude the event.

Rounding things out for the Panthers was Cayden Kwan and Anthony Misischia. Kwan finished 39th overall with a three-round score of 228 (+15), while Misischia shot 230 (+17, which ranked 46th.

The Panthers will head to Detroit, Mich. for the Motor City Shakedown from Sept. 30-Oct. 1, at TPC Michigan. The two-day tournament will be hosted by Wayne State.
