Panthers secure first win of the fall at Spring Arbor

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The Davenport men's tennis team had to do a little shuffling of the lineup on Saturday morning, but still came away with a 5-4 win at Spring Arbor. The Panthers got their first win of the shortened fall season and needed some bottom of the order singles magic to come away with the victory.

The Cougars took the first point of the match with a pair of doubles wins. Reuben Bakker and Simone Pacciolla won 6-1 at one doubles over Jaume Riera Galindo and Daniel Rodriguez Fortes.

In singles, Jan Stolin won his match at the one spot by scores of 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (2) over Aziz Madatov. Bakker at two singles won 6-4, 6-4 over Galindo. Jaden Bender at five singles picked up a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over Jakub Sevcik. Bennet Dozeman at six singles got a 6-4, 6-2 victory over MacKinley McNalley.
