GLIAC - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards in swimming & diving on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Parker Schut (Hamilton, Mich./Holland Christian) and
Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz (Warsaw, Poland) have been named the men's diver and women's swimmer of the week respectively.
Freshman
Parker Schut had a very successful meet at the Don Kimble Invite hosted by Davenport. Schut established a new school record in the 3-meter, 11-dives with a score of 451.05 and took first place. He also won the 1-meter, 11-dives competition with a score of 426.05. Sophomore
Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz was a part of two relay wins at the Don Kimble Invite hosted by Davenport. The Panthers won the 200 medley in a time of 1:44.42 and the 400 medley in a time of 3:47.90. Zofia continued her strong performance in the 100 breast, where she set a school record at 1:02.76 to win the event and hit the NCAA "B" cut. She also won the 200 breast in a time of 2:17.84, which also hit the NCAA "B" cut.
